As many of you know, my business – Skyline Digital Media Group LLC – is primarily geared towards operating the Skyline Newsroom website.

Over the past few months I have been planning to welcome additional staff members to the Skyline Newsroom, and today I am announcing the opening of 2 reporting positions.

As a reporter on the Skyline Newsroom website, you will be responsible for researching (this typically involves looking for official press statements) and writing two news stories a week.  These news stories can be written as short news bulletins or traditional news stories.  As a reporter for the Skyline Newsroom, you must agree to a strict code of ethics and reporting rules.

In return for your services as a reporter for the Skyline Newsroom, you will be given the opportunity to advertise your personal website, organization, or YouTube channel (along with other options) on the Skyline Newsroom website.  All advertisements are subject to approval by the editor.

The position of staff reporter is not a paid position at this time.

There are a few updates I wanted to let you know about.  First, we are planning to phase out the availability of SDMG products for FSX.  We would like to thank the hundreds of customers who purchased our products.

Second, the Skyline Newsroom will begin to hire people to assist with writing news articles for the website.  I will release more details about the hiring process in the next few days.

Finally, I’m sure most of you have seen the first 15 episodes of the “Runway In Sight” video series, but if you haven’t seen this great video series please check it out here.

YT Partners, such as myself, were stuck with a few glitches this past week that caused new video uploads to rarely reach the audience.  Hence, no new videos for the past few days.

Look for a few new videos this weekend including a payware add-on review video.

There are two new ‘features’ I want to discuss in this blog post.
First, I created a new Facebook page for the Cessna154 YT Channel. (there is an ‘unofficial’ page out there, but I am not related to that effort.)  I will be posting the link to the new FB page within the next few hours.  I plan to use the FB page to link to exclusive content such as unlisted videos and also communicate with the viewers.
The second announcement today relates to a new e-mail address that I will be utilizing for answering viewer questions and also receiving viewer suggestions for future videos.  I will post the e-mail address in a few hours as well.

I commonly get private messages on YT about the scenery add-on used in the videos I create that feature St. Barts and other airports in the region.  In those videos, I use the scenery add-on from FlyTampa.  (http://www.flytampa.org/tncm.html)

If anyone has any blog theme software suggestions, please let me know in the comments for this post?  I know there are thousands of you reading this blog each week, so chances are someone has a good suggestion.

From what I understand, there is no ‘security breach’ or ‘malware’ on either the blog or Newsroom.

The developer released a patch earlier this week to solve an exploit in their software, and hopefully that should solve the problems and stop the unnecessary warning messages from appearing when you visit the websites.

There were thousands of websites affected by this exploit in the software, but from my understanding none of the affected websites were infected with malware of any kind.  I believe the exploit was tied to the ‘website visits counter’ plug-in which is located on WordPress’ servers (external to each website using the theme software).

I hope that clears up any questions.  If you still see the warning message then please delete your browser cache.  Please leave me a comment on this post if you are still having trouble after deleting your cache, and please tell me which browser you are using.
